The JBL ProFlora Direct Inline CO2 Diffusers are extremely economical saving up to 20% CO2 thanks to their ingenious functioning. Designed to work with an external aquarium filter, the ProFlora Direct provides diffusion of CO2 directly into the aquarium water without the need to have an unsightly CO2 Diffuser, Bubble Counter and Check Valve inside the aquarium.

The ProFlora Diffusers are very easy to install and simply connect to a suitable external filters pipework. In order to ensure that the CO2 gas passes as far along the inside of the hose as possible, JBL recommend the ProFlora Direct Diffuser should be installed as close as possible to the external filter. A vertical mounting position will ensure the best readability of the bubble counter.

The use of CO2 within a planted aquarium is of great importance and helps provide the right CO2 concentration within the water for use by the aquarium plants. Carbon dioxide is the main nutrient for plants and promotes their growth. Plants use CO2 for photosynthesis and thus supply the water with essential oxygen.
